What's The Difference Between Kids ATV and Adult ATVs
The most obvious difference between a kids ATV and an adult ATV is the size, of course. This is so that kids can ride their ATVs comfortably without stretching their backs over an adult ATV and their feet can actually touch the ground. Letting a kid or pre-teen ride an adult ATV is dangerous and you, as a parent, should warn the kids about riding an adult ATV without supervision or without your permission. It's dangerous even for pre-teens so, give them a short tutorial about safety guidelines pertaining to riding ATVs. The rule governing usage of ATVs is that kids below the age of 16 should NEVER be allowed to ride an adult ATV.
The ATV looks like such an easy-to-handle machine that there shouldn't too big a fuss about letting the kids ride it, you're saying? No, it's not true. It takes a great deal of skill and physical coordination to handle an adult-sized ATV.
So, if your kids have an interest, get them their own Kids ATV.
Besides the size, the adult-sized ATV is considerably heavier than a Kids ATV. This is partly due to the size of the machine and the difference in material used when producing the ATVs. Adult-sized ATVs are faster than Kids ATV - and needless to say, we don't want our kids speeding through dangerous terrains if they are not yet trained to do so. Only adults with some form of education, training and guidance can handle ATVs like that. So, don't leave our kids to adult-sized ATVs.
Adult ATVs come with many different cooler features not present in Kids ATV and because of this fact alone, our kids might think that ours is much cooler and would beg us to get them an Adult one. But don't. The features are not there in Kids ATVs because these features are not suitable for kids.
On the flip side of things, Kids ATVs come packed with a different set of features - safety features. These features help parents control their kids in the middle of all that action. Some Kids ATVs also come with features that ensure that parents can intervene when kids are in danger. These are extremely useful. Safety features include bigger brake pedals, bigger mirrors, smaller handles for smaller hands...etc. some models come with a remote control emergency brake too - which means that if the child has problems stopping their Kids ATV, parents within a certain distance (like riding behind their kids) can press a button on a remote control to stop the vehicle. This is a very neat feature to have, indeed.

5 Signs of a Failing Honda CV Joint
Honda vehicles are known for their reliability, quality parts and excellent gas mileage. Their ATV's are no different. These are powerful machines that are known to withstand rough terrain, weather and driving. However, just like any vehicle they are prone to breakdown especially if not carefully maintained and looked after.
The Honda CV Joint
The Constant Velocity joint or the CV joint is a very important part of the ATV as it is essential in providing proper control and maneuverability. The axle assembly of a Honda model ATV is used to shift power from the transmission to the wheels. This is the place where the CV joint is located. It is part of a drive shaft that attaches to the ATV's transmission at one end and the wheel at the other. They are designed to be able to bend in any direction while continuing to turn the drive wheels at a constant velocity.
Aggressive use of a Honda CV joint can wear it down and therefore it must either be repaired or replaced. However before it completely fails, there are signs that it is breaking down. One doesn't have to be an expert mechanic to notice these indications. Here we will go over some of these symptoms. 1. Clicking Noise when Turning

What To Know About An ATV Winch
You've got the ATV, the trailer and the accessories, but you forgot all about an ATV winch. Why do you want to put a winch on your quad? Consider this. ATVing can be loads of fun, especially if you are fortunate enough to find lots of mud or loose sand to play in. But what do you do if you or someone gets stuck? How are you going to get out when pushing, pulling and cursing at your ATV doesn't do the trick?
That's where an ATV winch comes in handy and is an accessory that you won't want to do without. Having an ATV winch attached to the rear end of your machine will come in handy some day, you can guarantee it. Can a winch pull you out of a quagmire? You bet! A winch can pull up to three thousand pounds, which is more than you can say for two or three guys huffing and puffing knee deep in mud trying to do the same thing.
How does an ATV winch work? It pulls power off your quad battery, which provides electricity to turn the drum your cable is wrapped around. Pretty simple, really, but a powerful tool when it comes to insuring safety and loads of fun on your ATVing excursions.
Keep in mind that you don't have to attach an ATV winch to the back of your machine, but can carry it in a compartment on your quad for easy storage, Just remember that if you get stuck, you will have to anchor your winch to an object sturdy enough to resist the pull while trying to extricate another quad out of the mud, sand or water you find yourself stuck in. If your anchor doesn't hold, you won't be going anywhere.
Once you have your ATV winch attached to something solid, disengage the clutch and begin pulling your cable from the drum. This is also called spooling, and is much like pulling fishing wire out of the reel on your favorite fishing rod.
Never wrap your winch cable around something and then attach the cable hook to that because the cable may be damaged. Once you've attached the hook to the stuck quad, engage the clutch on the winch and then stand back, as a snapped cable can cause severe injuries.
Restart the ATV, make sure your brakes are locked, wheels are blocked and then slowly allow the cable to pull out the stranded machine. Keep your engine revved at about medium speed, as using an ATV winch pulls a lot of juice from the battery and you don't want to stall. A way to avoid this danger is to install a more powerful battery than comes from the manufacturer.
An ATV winch is a powerful and necessary accessory to your ATVing equipment, but many people don't bother with purchasing one, which makes for many ruined trips, especially in wintertime. Do yourself, and your friends, a favor and make sure that a winch is on the top of necessary items to carry on or in your quad.
